Because we perform at venues covering a wide
geographic range, the price of each performance must be based on its
location (city and venue) as well as the number of performance hours
involved. For a price quote, please call us with the details of your
event. Whenever possible, we'll provide a quote immediately over the
phone. Your quote also will be mailed to you in writing..
Advance deposit...
An advance deposit is required at the time the initial
agreement is signed. This is applied toward the total cost of the
performance. The balance is due on the day of the performance. For
all local performances, the advance deposit is $1,000. For
out-of-state (out of the DC area) performances, the advance deposit is
higher.
FAQs ABOUT FEES
Are there any taxes or other hidden costs?
No. There is no sales tax on services,
and there are no hidden charges. We itemize all fees up front,
including transportation when applicable, additional hours, and overtime.
What do you mean by
"overtime?"
Overtime in our business is extra
performance time you request after the band has arrived, or in
some cases, any time after the original contract is signed. Overtime
prices should be stated in writing to avoid surprises on the day of your
event. As you'll see in your quote, we charge the same price for all additional hours,
regardless of whether they are contracted in advance, or requested as
overtime.
Is there an extra
charge for the horn section?
No. We always have the whole band for every performance, including the horn section.
Do you accept checks,
plastic, cash...?
We accept personal or business checks, and PayPal. We only have the ability
to accept credit cards if you do it through PayPal, but you certainly may pay us with a Visa, Master
or AE check, which is the equivalent. We accept cash, of course, but
we're not one of those "cash only" businesses, so we prefer a check.
Is the price subject to
change after I book the band?
No, of course not. Even if we decide to raise our prices for the future,
we've locked in
your price when we signed your agreement and accepted your deposit.
